Medisoft uses the Advantage Database Server to run the database from a workstation in a small environment to a dedicated server in larger environments. When you purchase medisoft network professional, you also purchase the advantage database server from us at the same time, based on "Concurrent" users - this means the maximum number of users that you want to have medisoft open at the same time. For example, if you purchase a 10 user version of medisoft network professional, you can install in on 15 or 20 computers or more, but only a maximum of 10 can use it at the same time, when the 11th person tries to use the program, they will get an error message that the maximum number of users has been exceeded. Medisoft software works on windows xp; windows vista professional, windows 7 professional, server 2000 and above. We recommend gigabit Ethernet networking cards; cabling, and switches. Wireless networking is not supported because of dropped packets; however you can use wireless networking if you are connecting to a terminal server.
