Jacob’s Mommy (Plus One) asked:

I have my certificate in Medical Billing and Reception and also took a couple transcription classes. I have a 2 year old son and no babysitter for me to work out of the house as my husband works days, but is on call 24/7. Where can I find a billing or transcription job working from home?

Contact either and/or for legitimate transcription jobs online. They both require high speed internet access, I believe, and a minimum typing speed. There is also a transcription section at with a whole list of legitimate transcription companies and great support from an online transcriptionist community.

You probably should have asked the school where you earned this certificate if they have a job placement of sorts, maybe they could refer you to a place where they need someone like you.

Call your local community colleges. Some will have (or at least know who offers) medical transcription courses. Once you complete the course work, the good schools will help you find a job.
